Michael Thiede

When Mike was five years old his father Mike Sr. founded Bethesda Contracting. Growing up he spent summers working on job sites for the company gaining hands-on experience. After graduating University of Virginia with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, he worked as an engineer for Northrop Grumman. Realizing he loved the fast paced environment of remodeling and construction, he moved to the D.C. area and worked as a project engineer for a leading construction company. With his experience on complex projects, he saw a path to improve his family’s firm. Mike joined in 2006 and ultimately purchased Bethesda Contracting. Today he oversees field team production, managing labor and materials for all client projects. He thrives in problem solving and takes pride in educating home owners.

 
In his downtime, you can find him coaching his kids’ teams, working out, sampling good whiskey, and hanging out with his wife Kara.
