Classic Charm in Bethesda
Renovations
This empty-nester couple in Bethesda wanted to remodel the bathrooms and add a bar area in their newly purchased home to match their style and improve functionality. The primary bath now exudes elegance with dark wood, marble, and brass accents. A freestanding tub now serves as the focal point, replacing the old built-in tub.
The guest bathrooms are fresh and inviting. The first features aqua wall tiles paired with easy-to-maintain porcelain flooring. The second guest bath showcases a beautiful blue vanity and marble basketweave tile, with a tub for visiting grandkids.
We also added a stately bar area for evening cocktails in an unused third-floor space. Drawing inspiration from brass and glass shelving, we designed custom walnut-stained cabinets with brass inlays to complement the glass shelves showcasing an extensive spirit collection.
An undercounter refrigerator, hidden behind a matching cabinet panel, allows them to store mixers without needing to return to the kitchen. Rollouts and custom bottle cubbies provide extra liquor storage. A new tile floor and backsplash ensure easy cleanup, while toe kick and under-counter lighting create a moody, flexible ambiance.
Now, their third-floor space is a perfect retreat for enjoying drinks, reading, or watching TV. The clients are thrilled with their elegant, functional new bar area. A great addition to their home that now fits their style.
