Chevy Chase View Sunroom & Kitchen Redesign

This client’s once underutilized screened porch was thoughtfully transformed to expand both the kitchen and living areas, creating a more functional and connected layout. The porch was converted into a fully conditioned sunroom, and the wall separating it from the family room was removed to achieve a brighter, more open and expansive feel.

By capturing the space of the porch, the breakfast area was moved to the sunroom to allow for a larger more functional kitchen island. A custom wet bar with a Samsung Frame TV was added to enhance the home’s entertaining capabilities.

The kitchen showcases refined craftsmanship, from the fluted countertop edge detail continues into the backsplash. The striking French La Cornue range features dual ovens and five burners. Painted pocket-door appliance garage cabinets reveal a contrasting quartersawn white oak interior, designed to be beautiful both open and closed. The Quartersawn white oak is continued on the island and pantry to add warmth, contrast and elegance.
To complete the transformation, the fireplace built-ins were redesigned to coordinate with the kitchen and unify the new tone of the space. The result is a home that feels open, cohesive, and perfectly suited for everyday living and effortless entertaining.
