White Oak Wonder Bath

This Boyds, MD family, including their young son, sought a primary bath remodel to update outdated finishes and improve functionality. They desired a transitional spa-like feel with more space, storage, and a more usable vanity area.

The existing layout featured an underused corner tub and a small shower. We reworked the space to eliminate the tub and create a spacious, frameless shower with multiple showerheads—rain, handheld, and fixed—controlled by a Kohler thermostatic system for a customizable experience. Heated floors and a bidet toilet seat were added for added comfort.

The vanity was reconfigured into separate his-and-hers areas, with custom quartersawn white oak cabinetry in a timeless, elegant stain. Her area includes a tall storage pantry, rollout trays, and a dedicated makeup station under the corner windows for natural light. Both areas features U-shaped drawers for ample under-sink storage.

Quartz countertops and porcelain floor tile provide easy maintenance, while the shower features marble tiles with a marble waterjet accent wall, complementing the matte black plumbing. The new layout now maximizes space and functionality, leaving the clients thrilled with their daily retreat.
